The Ordinary is a brand that’s been out for some time and known for being a budget brand that you either love or hate depending on your skin type.

I love The Ordinary. I use it in my daily routine morning and night for a beautifully smooth face that I honestly didn’t start paying attention to until I was in my late 30s. I was one of those that hated spending money on products because they were so expensive and would just buy whatever was on the shelf and on sale. Now I’m pickier and spend more because I know with aging skin, I have to be more careful about what I use.

I spent lots of money on foundation, though, as I always thought the foundation would solve my issues with sebum and oils that would gather on my face after an hour. Boy was I wrong there, figuring out only after finally coming up with a routine on how to do that just with proper care of my skin.

At an average of $6-$20, a product for The Ordinary, you can’t beat those prices. Especially if you find that it works for your skin, and you get a routine down that works well with whatever issues you may be having. Whether it be fine lines, enlarged pores, blemishes, or blotchiness, a skin routine with The Ordinary can make a difference.

I have issues with red skin, large pores, and fine lines (I just turned 41) and find that using the routine that The Ordinary suggested for me helps a lot. I’m grateful to have found them as my face has improved tenfold since using them and looks much better allowing me to go foundation free with confidence on most days and just the bare minimum of makeup.

If I want to use foundation, I use Supergoop! CC cream, which I believe is a better alternative than most foundations out there, lighter on the face and good coverage without being too heavy.

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly brand that will help you, and the company themselves will get involved and not only ask you detailed questions but give you detailed routines and information on the routines they suggest. I recommend that you head over to The Ordinary and get your customized routine or head to your local beauty store. Most stores have it on the shelves.
