Beauty box subscriptions. We all love them, we all want them and they give us ways to try out new products matched to us by quizzes based on our preferences. Here’s a few I’ve tried and my thoughts on them.
We all love to take care of and pamper ourselves. Whether you’re a man or a woman, these subscription boxes have a host of options for you on many products from haircare, skincare, makeup and body care that you can get on a monthly basis to try out. If you like them, they all have the option to allow you to purchase full-size samples on their website.
BirchBox Subscription Box
This is one of my favorite budget subscriptions and where I’ve tested out a lot of the products I use now. I’ve had The Ordinary, Kiehl’s, Avaya, Disco Kitten among other brands sent to me and loved almost every single one. Two that I really stuck with and did reviews for are Kiehl’s avocado under eye cream, calendula face wash and toner, and The Ordinary squalene cleanser.
All of these I could go to their respective websites to gain a full-sized sample of, but Birchbox offers them on their website as well if they’re selling it for that month.
BeautyFIX Subscription Box
This is a top of the line box going for about $25 a month in which you get high-quality products like Murad, Caviar, Virtue, and Avene in your box which are great products to try before getting into them because they’re typically high-priced products. Usually, these boxes give you over $100 worth of product for just a quarter of that price, well worth looking into if you’re into getting a more robust product base to try out.
They also have a shop for buying full-sized products of anything you like going back to previous months boxes. This box is not customizable, however, which is the only drawback.
Ipsy! GlamBag Subscription Box
If you’re into makeup, this is a great subscription to get into. This subscription allows for customization of preferences in makeup of all sorts, even down to telling them what you’d prefer not to get on a monthly basis. If you’re not into red lipstick, then you won’t get red lipstick. Personally I can’t live without my Smashbox Vino Noir Always On lipstick, but that’s just me.
There’s an option as well to upgrade to GlamBag Plus and GlamBag Ultra with full-sized products in their subscription box which is nice if you’re looking to expand your makeup collection with products that are customized to your likes and want to try fresh things.
Boxwalla Beauty Subscription Box
Now, this is at the top end of beauty subscription boxes at $49.99 per month, however, this is a natural product box that comes with 3 samples of luxurious skincare products that are ingredient-conscious and come in both full size or travel size.
While this is the most expensive beauty subscription box on this list, trust me it’s worth finding one or two products you like from it if you’re conscious about what you put on your face with its ingredients. This is great for those looking to be more natural in their skincare and that don’t mind spending a little coin and supporting artisans from all over the world.
