It seems like a strange idea, but hear me out. Bloggers need to connect to other bloggers. Need a reason to believe that? How about four?
Many bloggers work for themselves. The alone time can be amazing, especially when you are your own boss.
But adding another brain can take your content to the next level. Connecting with other bloggers can optimize your content and grow your blog.
Here are 4 reasons bloggers need to connect with other bloggers:
1. Collaboration Expands Your Readership
Collaboration is a huge component of marketing on social media. This can expand the readership for both bloggers! If you are struggling to expand your audience, try reaching out to a fellow blogger.
Tip: Be a guest writer for a like-minded blog. Or have another blogger write a guest post for your blog.
2. You Become Part of a Community
One of the best and worst aspects of being a blogger is all the alone time. I can sit and write blog posts for hours, but sometimes it gets to be too much.
Share your experiences with other bloggers. Invite feedback. If you’re writing without an editor, a connection can help you become a better writer and blogging.
Tip: Join blogging groups on Facebook. Follow blogs on Twitter and retweet their posts. Sharing third-party content gives your readers more reason to believe in what you say.
3. Connecting Helps You When You’re Stuck
We’ve all been there at some point. Writer’s block is the worst, but you can overcome it!
Brainstorming sessions are a great way to start a creative process. Sometimes all it takes is bouncing ideas off of another person to get inspired.
Tip: Find a fellow blogger you can trust to help you get unstuck when writer’s block hits.
4. You Become a Better Blogger
This is the BEST reason to connect with other bloggers. You’re so close to your blog that it might be difficult to see where you can improve. Connecting to other bloggers can help with that.
Learn from each other. Take what you have learned and teach it to someone else. Pay it forward.
Tip: Reach out to bloggers you want to be like. Ask them for specific tips!
Read other blogs and leave comments.
Support other bloggers and push each other to be better.
