Because every Korean series is perfectly built to dive you into the Korean culture. And that makes these series more attractive.

Of all the genres on, Korean entertainment is an expert on one gender in specific: Drama. Not for nothing, Korean series are recognized as K-dramas. Because Korean series always has the purpose of sharing and showing off some social issues to create awareness.

Crash Landing On You is a 2019 Korean romantic comedy-drama series, starring two of the most popular actors in Korea: Hyun Bin and Son Ye-Jin. These two actors portrait the main characters: Ri Jeong-hyeok and Yoon Se-ri . The romantic drama series’ plot was really controversial in Korea. It focuses on the tense relationship between North and South Korea. This romantic drama shares an overwhelming love story between a North Korean soldier and a South Korean high society woman.

This K-Drama follows how the South Korean businesswoman Yoon Se-ri has an accident and ends up in North Korea. The South Korean woman is rescued by North Korean soldier Ri Jeong-hyeok and his squad. But thanks to the tense relationship between the two countries, the situation is tricky and can end up in the execution of them all. That is how they start an awkward fellowship, all while they try to find a way to take Yoon Se-ri back to her country safely.

Personally, this is my favorite Korean drama ever, even when the romantic drama is not my favorite genre of series. This Crash Landing On You has the perfect combination of drama and comedy. Not only that, but the love story is one of the most overwhelming ever shared. This romantic love story has a modern twist of the forbidden love, which makes the series more realistic. But also it has tons of hilarious moments you can understand even without being from Korean society.

Also, this Korean drama series found out the perfect way to portray and share the intense conflict between the two nations. This Korean drama series perfectly portray how every conflict is based on a difference of ideals. And it has an incredible way to balance a real contrast between these two opposite worlds.

Love Alarm is a 2019 Korean romantic fantasy drama series, based on the Webtoon of the same name, by Cho Kye-young. The series stars three popular young Korean actors, Kim So-hyun, Song Kang, and Jung Ga-ram. These three actors portray the main characters: Kim Jo-jo, Hwang Sun-oh, and Lee Hye-young. Love Alarm begins with launch of a new app that alerts people if someone within a 10-meter radius is in love with them. Love Alarm follows the development of the app, while focusing on a love story, to be more specific, a love triangle between the three main characters. Two best friends are in love with the same girl. The romantic series follows the drama behind living in a world where everyone can see what you feel.

The love triangle plot makes you go through a roller coaster of emotions, but an app that exposes human feelings adds an extra layer of excitement that draws you in further. This is one of those romantic dramas in which you fantasize and fall in love with the characters, but also it leaves you with a lot to think about regarding technology.

Also, this Korean romantic fantasy series is not regular and superficial. In this drama series, there are shared many social aspects present in Korean society, but also any society.
