When somebody mentions a creepy place, this asylum in Weston, West Virginia, is exactly the type of scary place that comes to mind. The Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum is a spooky place that looks like the setting for a horror film. The grim experiences of past patients, and the fatal medical experiments performed on them, mean that the asylum is considered one of the most haunted places in America.

The Asylum was designed to house 250 patients and operated from 1864-1994. However, the asylum became overcrowded, housing 2,400 patients by the 50s. Due to this, there was not enough beds or equipment for all the patients. These issues resulted in patients sleeping on the floor and in poor health. The hospital started to go downhill and ended up in decrepit conditions. It was forced to close to the doors for good due to lack of funds.

The hospital hauntings have been investigated by curious individuals and paranormal investigation teams. Some of the spooky things that occur there have been reported to be patients, children, and even Civil War soldiers. This terrifying haunted place is sure to be a great experience for those who love a good scare on Halloween. The Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum offers heritage tours and ghost tours to visitors.

According to Thrillist Magazine, The Devil’s Tree was a meeting place for the KKK, a notorious suicide site, and a rumored gateway to the depths of hell. The legend goes that if anyone harms this tree in any way, they will suffer violent retributions. it was also rumored that the KKK used this location to hold cross burnings and hangings from its cursed limbs.

There was so much interest in this tree that people would try to test the rumors. Some claimed that they would hear sounds. When thinking about scary places and hauntings, this beautiful house is not exactly what you picture. However, there have been some reports of some really spooky stuff taking place in parts of the William Kehoe house. This house, which was once the home of William Kehoe and his family is now a bed and breakfast in the beautiful city of Savannah, Georgia.

This house was built in 1892 as a family home for the Kehoe family. William Kehoe, his wife, and their ten children lived in the home together until tragedy struck. Many of the spirits that are reported by guests are children and experts say they are most likely the dead Kehoe children. These spirits that people are seeing are thought to be eternally trapped, desperate to escape.

Some of these reports say that guests hear the sounds of children laughing and playing in the hallways but do not see anything. Most of the sightings seem to be around certain rooms in the house. Another spooky yet sad report is from guests who say they saw a child appear at the end of their bed, felt as if someone was kissing their cheek and touching their hand.
