1. Pick your own oranges at an orange grove

Many local orange groves in Florida offer pick-your-own oranges. The best time to pick oranges are when they are in season from autumn until spring. Showcase of Citrus is a family owned and operated 2,500 acre estate cultivating over 50 varieties of citrus. It is located just 15 minutes west of Walt Disney World in Clermont, Florida. Stroll through the groves and twist, tug and pull the oranges gently off the trees.

2. Shop at Florida Orange World

Florida Orange World is an iconic local landmark and the world’s largest orange. The gift shop is in Kissimmee, Florida. It sells fresh Florida citrus and gourmet gifts. They will pack and ship the citrus grown in the Indian River Region of Florida including Florida Oranges, Honeybells, Ruby Red Grapefruit, Navel, Valencia Oranges, and Tangerines.

3. Drink citrus beer at Grove Roots Brewing Co.

Grove Roots Brewing Co. is a local craft brewery and taproom in Winter Haven, Florida. The inventive, artisanal beers are inspired by the traditions and tastes of Central Florida’s citrus past. Visit the taproom and try the flagship beers and seasonal offerings, plus a few guest taps. It’s family friendly with picnic-table seating, lawn chairs, and lawn games.

4. Celebrate at the Orange Blossom Festival

For 83 years, the town of Davie, Florida has hosted the Orange Blossom Festival. The festival is a celebration of Davie’s agricultural roots. It includes live music, youth entertainment, a petting farm, live reptile shows and a kid’s play area. There’s also a parade down Orange Drive, a golf tournament, and a classic car show.
